Here’s a list of softwares that I use and highly recommend to everyone
Operating System – Windows 7 of course. It is the best operating system from Microsoft yet. It is lighter (than vista), faster, reliable and more secure. Its almost perfect!
Productivity Suite – Microsoft Office 2007. It is the best that I could find. It’s alternatives such as openoffice is good but not upto the mark.
Internet – I am a one of the few people who actually use opera as the primary browser. you can also use IE8 or Firefox. Avoid Safari. I use orkut and facebook to keep in touch with my friends.
Others – I use acrobat reader with PDF files and 7zip for archiving files.
